Terms of Service

Last Updated: 15 July 2026

These terms are a legal agreement between you and Global Matrix Group Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 59 625 676 959), the company behind BTAG. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

We've written these in plain English wherever possible. If anything is unclear, email us at support@btag.cloud.

2. Your Account

2.1 Who Can Sign Up

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you're signing up on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business to these terms.

2.2 Keep Your Account Secure

You're responsible for keeping your login details safe. If someone else uses your account, you're responsible for what happens. If unauthorised access occurs due to a failure of our security systems, our liability is governed by Section 11. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us immediately at support@btag.cloud.

2.3 Your Login Is Yours

Don't share your login details with others. Each person who uses BTAG should have their own account. Some plans allow multiple users under one subscription.

3. What You Can Do

With a BTAG account, you can:

Your plan determines how much storage you get, how many workspaces you can create, and which features are available. See our pricing page for details.

4. Your Content

4.1 You Own It

Everything you upload to BTAG belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your photos, lists, or any other content. You can export your data at any time.

4.2 We Store and Process It for You

By uploading content, you give us permission to store and process it so the service works. We only use your content to provide the features you use. We won't use it for advertising or sell it to anyone.

4.3 Shared Content

You control who sees your content. When you share a list, you choose the access level. You can add a password for extra protection, limit access to specific people, or make it open. You're responsible for your sharing settings.

4.4 Use It Responsibly

Don't use BTAG for anything illegal or to store harmful content like malware. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate Section 8.

5. Payments and Plans

5.1 Free Plan

The Free plan is free. We may adjust what's included as the service evolves.

5.2 Paid Plans

Paid plans (Basic, Pro, Business) are billed monthly or annually. Annual billing is discounted. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and do not include GST.

5.3 Payment Processing

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own privacy policy and terms apply to payment processing.

5.4 Upgrades and Downgrades

You can change plans at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. If you downgrade and your usage exceeds the new plan's limits (e.g., storage), we'll restrict new uploads and give you a grace period to reduce your usage or purchase additional storage. After the grace period, we may remove content that exceeds your plan's limits.

5.5 Cancellations

You can cancel anytime, but there are no pro-rata refunds. You keep access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected.

5.6 Add-On Modules

Some features are sold as optional add-on modules rather than being included in every plan. Which add-ons exist, what they cost, and which plans include them are set out on our pricing page, which forms part of these terms.

Add-on modules are billed separately from your plan and can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Some plans include certain add-on modules at no extra cost, as shown on the pricing page.

Task lists are included on every plan, including Free. They are not an add-on.

5.7 Free Trial

Paid plans include a 30-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial.

A payment method is required to start a trial. We do not charge it while the trial is running. At the end of the 30 days, your plan converts to a paid subscription and your first payment is taken automatically, unless you cancel before the trial ends.

You can cancel at any time during the trial from your account settings, and you will not be charged.

If you cancel during or after a trial, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted, but if you are over the Free plan's limits, section 5.4 (Upgrades and Downgrades) applies.

5.8 Founding Member Pricing

If you registered your interest with us before BTAG's public launch, or joined during our early-access period, you are a founding member.

What we are promising you: the price you first pay for a plan is the price you keep, for as long as you stay continuously subscribed to that same plan. If we raise the price of that plan later, your price does not change.

What ends it: your locked price applies to the specific plan you are on. It ends if you cancel your subscription, or if you change to a different plan (at which point the then-current price of the new plan applies). If you let your subscription lapse, we cannot guarantee we can reinstate the old price.

What it does not cover: add-ons, additional user seats, AI credit purchases, and any taxes or fees, which are charged at their then-current rates.

If we retire a plan: we may stop offering a plan entirely. If we do, we will give you at least 60 days' notice, and you will keep access to your plan at your locked price until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Before that period ends, we will offer you the closest equivalent plan we then offer; you can accept it, choose any other plan, or cancel. We will not retire a plan solely to end founding member pricing.

This commitment survives changes to these terms. Section 13 (Changes to These Terms) does not permit us to withdraw a founding member's locked price for a plan they remain subscribed to.

6. Availability and Uptime

We do our best to keep BTAG running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Things break sometimes. We will:

We're not liable for disruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control. We don't offer a formal SLA at this stage, but we take reliability seriously and will communicate openly about any service disruptions.

7. Data and Privacy

Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. Key points:

8. Things You Shouldn't Do

Please don't:

If we find you're doing any of these, we may suspend or close your account without notice.

9. Intellectual Property

BTAG (the app, website, design, logo, and code) belongs to Global Matrix Group Australia Pty Ltd. You can't copy, modify, or redistribute any part of it without our written permission.

Your content belongs to you (see Section 4). The QR codes we generate for you are yours to use however you like.

10. Closing Your Account

10.1 You Can Leave Anytime

You can request account closure by emailing support@btag.cloud. You can export your data before we delete it. We'll deactivate your account and delete your content within 30 days. Once content is deleted, any shared links and QR codes linked to it will stop working. We keep financial transaction records for 7 years as required by Australian tax law.

10.2 We Can Close Your Account

We may close your account if you:

Where possible, we'll notify you and give you a chance to fix the issue before closing your account. If you're on a paid plan, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.

11. Limits on Our Liability

We do our best to keep BTAG reliable, but no software is perfect. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected by these terms.

12. Disputes

If something's not right, talk to us first. Email support@btag.cloud. We'd rather fix it than fight about it.

If we can't sort it out together, these terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of Western Australia, unless otherwise required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For significant changes that affect your rights, we'll notify you by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.

If you continue using BTAG after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you disagree with a change, you can close your account before it takes effect.

One exception: this section does not let us take away a founding member's locked-in price for a plan they remain subscribed to. See section 5.8 (Founding Member Pricing).
